Breathwork is a self-healing therapy that can treat a variety of physical, mental, as well as emotional problems. This can be done by oxygenating the body through regulated breathing techniques. Once the body is oxygenated the nervous system will clean itself out. During this time many subtle and physical stresses will be released and relieved. Depending on the condition many things can be experienced. On the bodily level there can be pain relief, toxin release, higher energy levels, increased appetite, better sleep, and overall relaxation. On the mental level there will be clarity, euphoria, a feeling of fortitude, increased creativity, a better ability to cope with problems and a quieter mind to make easier decisions. On the emotional level there will be a release of crippling emotions such as trauma, depression, grief, frustration, resentment, anger etc. Everyone leaves a breathwork session feeling good and in an uplifted mood. I have been practicing for over 8 years and have not received any negative feedback. My clients have been satisfied knowing that I am confidential and provide a safe environment for the therapy. I look forward to sharing this process and helping create better healthier lives.

Jillian Goldstein

Jillian Goldstein - Aurora Healing Arts, Gainesville, FL

Hai! My name is Jillian. What can I say? I’m a person first and foremost. I always have to remind myself….I’m a fallible human and so is everybody else. I love children and have several years of experience working with preschoolers. At present I feel inspired to go back to school to study physical therapy so that’s what I’m doing. That inspiration is a direct result of yoga; it stimulated the realization of just how much I enjoy helping people move, breathe and connect therapeutically with their body. The first time I took a yoga class was in 2012 when I moved to Florida. My affection and devotion to yoga practice began growing over the next few years in part because of the fortunate exposure to a wide variety of classes and teachers I experienced in Gainesville and its surrounding towns. In October of 2017 I finally took the leap I needed and obtained my YTT 200 in Nepal. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to learn about the 8 limb path in the region it was conceived in, from a teacher native to that region. In my classes I aim to create an atmosphere of acceptance for all. I incorporate pranayama (breath work) as well as asana (postures).

Demyan Khrolenko

Demyan Khrolenko - Aurora Healing Arts, Gainesville, FL

Hi, My name is Demyan Khrolenko. I am grateful to be a part of the constantly evolving community and sacred space at Aurora Healing Arts. Being able to contribute to a community that is rooted in truth and love is really a wonderful thing. In our modern world of specialized training into isolated skill sets I believe that having a diverse movement practice is an often overlooked and key element of Spiritual, Mental and Physical development and well being. I believe we thrive when we are forced out of habitual thought, emotional or physical patterns and are put into novel situations that we must adapt to. I love seeing the carry over of my movement practice into all of my greatest joys in life.

Some of my passions are my Family, Mycology and exploring nature. All of these things are enhanced by being a capable and adaptive mover. I have a very diverse background in physical movement practice from many different realms since a young age. Following that passion, I was eventually led into the fitness industry where I taught a large variety of classes from strength training, kettlebell, yoga and much more. I eventually had a break through where I realized that what I love is diversity of movement and adapting to new skills and situations. Some of my more recent inspirations for my movement practice include Dance, Circus and Martial Arts.

Now with Primal Play we explore ways to create freedom, health and self discovery through natural movement. Your fitness has a higher purpose and how we move is a direct reflection of how we live our lives. We will build strength, freedom of movement, adaptability, and mindfulness to help our lives become richer. We will explore the modality of physical play to break free of the rigid confines of “fitness”.. Exploring and expanding our potential as adaptive and evolving humans. This unique perspective on movement will include many movement games and challenges to awaken physical and mental potential. It will also include structured movements patterns and flow movement to create more personal freedom ~ Come Have Fun And Explore Movement!!

Amber Rose

Amber Rose - Aurora Healing Arts, Gainesville, FL

My Name is Amber Rose Ashodian. I am an artist and holistic healer. These two disciplines inform my use of Touch Therapy, Sound Healing, and Energy Work. I fell in love with Crystal Singing Bowls the moment I discovered them in 2007. The sounds and vibrations emanating from Crystal Singing Bowls restore the listener’s body by opening, clearing and balancing each of the seven chakras plus the High Heart. It has been scientifically established that each of these chakras or energy centers are associated with a musical note or vibrational frequency. When added to a restorative yoga class or massage session the results are beautiful, transformational and magical. I am a massage therapy graduate of Florida School of Massage (FSM), a certified double practitioner of Thai Massage, and have a Reiki certificate. (Non-touch healing) To sum it up, Healing is my art.

Mat Chandler

Mat Chandler in Peru - Aurora Healing Arts, Gainesville, FL

Mathew Chandler founded Aurora in early 2015. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and uses this to create a beautiful world in which he wants to live, most immediately by facilitating the space which is Aurora Healing Arts. He is a certified yoga instructor and teaches a weekly flow of kundalini and hatha yoga, with a touch of T’ai Chi in the mix. Mat is also a profound sound healer and specializes in the gong, native American flute, frame drum, singing bowls and more.

Life-Coaching and Clarity-Work, Bodywork in the form of Thai Massage, and BioDynamic Cranial Touch, are some of his most purpose-filled passions and favorite form of therapeutic service. Every Sunday he leads Gainesville’s largest 5 Rhythms style Ecstatic Dance and is driven to provide a space which allows others the freedom that this healing modality provides.

Perhaps his most endearing passion of all is in building community where individuals may find themselves and experiencing self-transformation, growth, and unlimited love. You can find Mat at Aurora almost any day, tending the garden or teaching a class, unless he is traveling the world at the moment, which he does often. Please stop in and see the space which is now a beautiful mandala of conscious community creation.
