Handpan 360 presents Hands-On Demo and Concert w/ Peter Levitov
From 5-6pm, 12 Handpan instruments will be available to explore, guided by Peter. He will go over some basic rhythm and striking techniques and have some time available for some jams and questions. All the instruments have been built to play with each other perfectly and are available for purchase.
At 7pm we meet for a Restorative Sound Concert, inspired by Sufi, Tibetan, and Indigenous healing sound traditions. We will be exploring the power of instruments from the ancient past to the evolving future, in order to create an environment that supports personal growth, exploration, and healing.
Capped at 12 people (limited number of pans available.)
Peter Levitov Concert 7:00-9:00pm
Peter first laid hands on a PANArt Hang in the summer of 2009. “At that moment I knew what I would be doing with the rest of my life.” He has been playing Handpan/Pantam and teaching professionally for 7 years, traveling the country and the world in search of new sounds and singing steel family near and far. He has filled his days with all things Handpan; facilitating workshops and immersions, performing, busking (street-performance), teaching, building, visiting players and builders, and always seeking the ever elusive perfect sound. This journey has provided a broad and deep body of work and experiences to draw upon. His primary goal is to save his students time in the quest towards their ideal playing experience and to share the richness of this evolving global art form. “I know these instruments can change lives and help guide us all towards more harmony and deeper listening. Plus the fact that they are ridiculously fun to play is an added bonus.”
