Exploring Mindfulness

December 26, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

$25.00

Experience the restorative power of yoga nidra meditation. This guided meditation is designed to help your mind more easily access deeper, healing meditative states. It’s great for all levels of experience, beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

This is an excellent gathering for discovering, nurturing, and deepening your mindfulness practice. Whether your interest is in yoga, meditation, mindfulness, or simply stress reduction, this gathering is for you!

We will experience several extremely effective mindfulness practices together, to explore what resonates with you.

Cultivating mindfulness in a group setting can help create an even stronger inner experience. And you’ll take home several tools and new experiences to help you carry your own mindfulness practice with you into your daily life.

Together we will share:
An open discussion on the philosophy and science of mindfulness
A refined intention setting process
A relaxing, all-levels yoga session
A guided yoga nidra meditation
A connected, supportive, mindful afternoon

We will also explore some of these questions together, both conceptually and experientially:
What is mindfulness and meditation?
How can I get more out of meditation?
How do I change my relationship with stress?
How does mindfulness and stress affect our physical health?
What does it mean to me to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit?

Led by Galen Meyers, a certified yoga and yoga nidra instructor who is passionate and knowledgeable about science, spirituality, and wholistic well being.

No particular worldview or beliefs are required! Come explore mindfulness with us, in your own way!

WHAT IS YOGA NIDRA?
Yoga nidra is a sleep based meditation that uses breath, body, and awareness techniques to restore balance to the nervous system. It is most often a guided practice that can help provide all of the health and well-being benefits of a more established meditative practice, without requiring the same kind of advanced training our experience.
Yoga nidra is used all over the world, supported by scientific research, to enhance general well being, and to help those suffering with PTSD, depression and anxiety, addictions, stress related illnesses, and much more.
