Hello, I’m Mat Chandler. Founder of Aurora Healing Arts. I’ve studied communication through speech, as well as the body, pretty extensively. I’ve also found in my experiences leading cacao ceremonies, teaching yoga, leading ecstatic dance and more, that people just LOVE TO CONNECT! There is such joy to be found in heart-felt connection with another being.
Well, simply put, that is what this event is about. The catchy name of “Speed-Friending” is in reference to the old-style “speed-dating” events. However here, we have a mixture of communication-skills based sessions where we learn a technique of how to truly connect with others, and then we do a few rounds of “speed-friending” short conversations. We will do this multiple times throughout the evening, creating connection through vulnerability and authenticity, and having a lot of FUN in the process!
Please join us, whether you feel like the person who has yet learned quite what it is that joins to people together in true connection and understanding and feel you’re missing the “hidden link,” or also if you feel just fine in most interactions yet want to learn some new communication skills and make some new friends!
